Accommodations

Sleeping Rooms

Linens and towels are provided by the Conference Center.  They are not changed daily but if you need clean towels let one of the Retreat Committee members know.  There is a coin-operated washer and dryer at the end of the hall on the lower level past the Fireside Room.  PLEASE CLOSE THE BATHROOM DOOR WHEN TAKING A SHOWER TO PREVENT A FIRE ALARM GOING OFF.

Some of the rooms have one queen size bed, some rooms have two queen size beds, some rooms have a queen size and a single bed, and other rooms have a queen size and a double/single loft combination.

Handicapped Accessible

There are several rooms that the bedroom and bath are handicap accessible. If you need a Handicap room, please make sure you indicate it on your Registration form.

Fire Alarms

In the event of a fire/ fire alarm, everyone please exit the building via the nearest exit and proceed to the grassy area at the top of the driveway away from the Lower Level parking area.  The Retreat Committee will do a room check & roll call to make sure everyone is out of the building.  To facilitate this we are asking everyone to SIGN OUT whenever you leave the building for an extended period of time and SIGN IN when you return so we know who should be there or not.

Items that Roxbury does NOT provide

Large bars of soap or hair dryer.

At the end of your stay Roxbury asks us to remove the sheets and towels and put them in separate pillow cases and place them outside your room in the hall. Turn off the heat/air conditioner and lights.

Sewing Rooms

The Lower Level rooms are set up with tables for participants to work especially with their sewing machines. Usually with the number of retreat participants, we cannot spread out as much as we would at home so be mindful of the space you are occupying.

The guild supplies extension cords and power cords for the use of the participants.

Please do NOT bring large irons

Several ironing stations will be set up for your use.

Too many irons will blow fuses because they draw too much electricity.  You can bring the small irons if need be.  There will be ONE IRON set up for use with FUSIBLES.

There will be several cutting stations set up also.

Upper Level Conference Room

There are sofas and chairs in the Upper Level Conference room. Tables will be set up for basting a quilt together.

  • QUILTERS YARD SALE – There will be extra tables available for Members Quilters Yard Sale.
  • SHOW & TELL – Will be held Saturday at 6:30 PM to share the projects you have worked on during the retreat.
  • DEMOS – The Demos will be held in the same area where Show & Tell is held.
